To Prospective Early Investors
Hello, fellow sinner in the bay party. I am Sin Bay, an influential-less creator.
Natural human perception skills may become a powerful auxiliary tool in the AI era. Whether in quality of life, religious beliefs, artistic creation, interpersonal relationships, or work and leisure, perception skills can offer people different ways of understanding and practical methods, rather than replacing existing knowledge, abilities, and lifestyles.
These skills might help natural humans navigate the social turbulence brought by the rapid development of AI, and perhaps open up new life experiences, ways of feeling, and lifestyle possibilities for natural humans in a gradually stabilizing future.
This project is scheduled for initial construction and promotion from 2027 to 2031. The author estimates that if implementation is delayed beyond 2031, the difficulty of disseminating, practicing, and popularizing related knowledge will increase significantly. Therefore, I hope to complete foundational works as much as possible within this limited timeframe and allow perception skills to enter different areas of life.
The main tasks at this stage are book writing and touring lectures. The initial three books are expected to take about one year of writing time, requiring approximately $16,000 to $22,000 USD (approx. NT$520,000 to NT$720,000); the minimum budget for 12 touring lectures is approximately $1,500 USD (approx. NT$50,000). The actual funding amount, execution methods, and cooperation terms can be further negotiated based on both parties' needs.
The Natural Human Perception Skills Project is an epochal speculative project with potentially extremely low success rates, yet with a chance to generate long-term impact.
The author cannot guarantee that these works will receive attention, nor can I promise any financial investment returns. Even without this project in the future, other researchers, creators, or institutions might gradually develop similar or even more mature perception doctrines.
However, what is truly worth pondering is perhaps not whether this knowledge will appear in the future, but whether it can appear early—before this era truly needs it.
For some investors, this may simply be a relatively limited sum of funds; but if these works can influence future creators, educators, and local communities, or even catalyze a new culture of perception, the impact brought by this early sponsorship could far exceed the initial investment.
The author does not consider myself irreplaceable, nor do I think this project is bound to succeed. Simply put, in an era facing potential major shifts, it may be worthwhile to use a relatively limited amount of capital to reserve an early development opportunity for a lifestyle possibility that has not yet received widespread attention.
The Turbulence Period of AI Development
Based on my gut instinct, I estimate a roughly 0.5% probability that as AI develops more and more rapidly, new lifestyles and social systems will fail to truly stabilize while old systems persist. The process of replacing the old with the new could plunge society into a turbulence period lasting anywhere from five to thirty years.
During this period, some natural humans may begin to feel massive impacts.
For example, AI development requires massive resources and capital, which could lead to inflation and financial market volatility. Small and medium-sized enterprises, lacking the capital to support themselves and transform in a drastically changing environment, face a sharply increased risk of being eliminated by the market, leaving natural humans with fewer job opportunities.
On the other hand, AI may also make entrepreneurship much easier. Tasks that previously required a large workforce can now potentially be accomplished by a small team paired with AI. However, as AI agents, AI entrepreneurs, and natural human entrepreneurs all flood the market, competition may also become much fiercer. Even more grimly, as the relationship between AI capabilities and corporate competitiveness tightens, market advantages may gradually concentrate in the hands of a few enterprises wielding powerful AI capabilities.
It is not just commerce; scientific research and various professional fields may also face drastic changes. Knowledge and skills that previously required years of study could soon be replaced by new technologies. Simultaneously, wealth and assets may become more concentrated, gradually forming a new elite class; cybersecurity issues may worsen, and individuals and organizations possessing strong AI capabilities could wield greater destructive power.
Coupled with the accelerated empowerment of gray and black industries by AI, international tensions brought by AI military competition, volatile financial environments, and pre-existing extreme climate and environmental issues, all these factors could make the future even more unpredictable, affecting the lives of natural humans.
How Perception Might Be One of the Pillars Amid Turbulence
At this time, many people may not yet clearly perceive these problems. Like frogs being boiled in warm water, they continue living their original lives. But when these changes gradually impact jobs, income, prices, and daily life, only then might some truly realize that risks and crises have arrived at their doorstep.
When the external environment changes faster and faster, and the future is filled with uncertainty—where hard work does not necessarily yield desired results, and ordinary people lack sufficient resources and capacity to change the environment—more and more people may choose to "tang ping" (lie flat), or abandon the pursuit of relentless upward competition, hoping simply to survive well.
In such an era, "how to feel" might become a piece of driftwood that people try to grasp amidst massive changes.
Through understanding and practicing perception, people might rapidly regain a sense of security, recognizing their own needs and values. Even if they cannot temporarily change the external environment, they can attempt to adjust how they perceive life.
Going a step further, people might even develop different life philosophies, ideological doctrines, or explore new civilization development directions from the perspective of perception. Simply put, even if life is unsatisfactory and hardship surrounds us, we can still try to find different ways of feeling, discover experiences worth having in life, and even cultivate an ability to find joy amidst adversity.
Perception As an Essential Skill in the New Hedonistic Era
However, the AI era will not necessarily bring only crises. If future AI can shoulder an increasing share of production work and solve massive human problems, when material abundance arrives and natural humans gradually decouple from material survival, the past mindset of working hard, earning money, and accumulating possessions to prove life's value may gradually shift, leading society into a new hedonistic era.
When the sense of pride and superiority from work is gradually mastered by machines, and life's goals and dreams are stripped away by machines, boredom begins to become one of the things that life must resist. People begin to reminisce about work—reminiscing about days when they could occasionally experience nihilism, days when meaningless tasks could help them forget boredom.
Dopamine stimulation is gradually falling into a regular, mechanized, rule-bound pattern, resembling flies in a laboratory experiment. At this point, proactive conscious testing of "how to feel" becomes an important ability to break through boredom. When virtual sensory experiences become popular, the question shifts from "What else is there to enjoy?" to "How else can I feel?"
And "how to feel" may play a vital role in this process. Building on a foundation of material living, people can use perceptual capacity to understand themselves, enrich life experiences, and explore different lifestyles. Perception will no longer be a mere incidental experience in life; it may become a crucial method for people to contemplate how to live.
Even If Nothing Happens, Perception Remains Worth Researching
Of course, the above projections about the future may sound somewhat absurd and may not actually happen. But even if these drastic changes do not manifest in the future, "how to feel" still holds exploratory value and serves as a powerful auxiliary role in life.
It can help people re-recognize their lives, enhance quality of life, and provide society with alternative perspectives.
In the AI era, when technology, knowledge, and various capabilities are no longer uniquely human advantages, we may also begin to rethink: Beyond work, knowledge, wealth, and capability, how else can humans experience life? And how should we perceive each present moment?
These questions have been continually explored by humanity since antiquity. Yet, in this special era, AI is continuously altering human lifestyles and values. "How to feel" may gradually step into the center of the times; through subjective experience, people can practically apply perception to life, thereby exploring themselves and further contemplating how to reshape the future.
The Natural Human Perception Project
The Natural Human Perception Project is derived from conclusions estimated by gut instinct: building a set of perceptual methods that can be learned, practiced, and passed down.
Starting from subjective research, this series attempts to decompose human perception into different influencing factors, and from there develop simple techniques that can be practically applied in daily life. This allows ordinary people to learn to understand their feelings, recognize changes in various perceptions, and attempt to adjust how they experience life.
Furthermore, I believe perception possesses immense cross-disciplinary application potential. We can bring perception-related factors and techniques into different fields, combining them with original professional knowledge and practical methods to explore where else perception can be applied.
For example, perception process design in commerce and sales, cultivation of perceptual capacity in active aging, experiential design in heritage and art guided tours, and the development of community perception culture. Beyond these, culture and art, religious beliefs, and daily life can all become application scenarios for perception skills.
People in different fields can attempt to develop application methods suited to their own professions and needs. These explorations may not have fixed answers, and in actual application processes, they may gradually evolve new methods, perspectives, and practical forms, allowing perception skills to enter the lives of more people.
Project Execution and Time Sensitivity
To preemptively scatter the seeds of "how to feel" across different regions before potential social turbulence arrives, I have tentatively scheduled the promotion of this project from 2027 to 2030, with the project expiring after 2031.
Through lectures, courses, and community activities everywhere, I hope to let more people encounter and practice perception skills early, gradually taking root in different places and developing local perception cultures.
According to my rough gut-instinct estimation, if promotion fails to launch before 2031, around 2034 there is up to a 0.67% probability that some regions will suffer severe impacts from drastic social changes.
In such an environment, natural humans' attention may be consumed by survival pressures and external problems, and the overall social atmosphere may gradually lose the fertile soil needed to cultivate a culture of perception. Initiating such long-term cultural work at that time would not only become much harder, but might even wither away before it truly develops.
More importantly, if we miss the early cultivation years, when the crucial moment of need arrives, the seeds might not yet have grown into trees. For the very few natural humans who might need these methods, they would lose the opportunity to grasp "how to feel" as a coping mechanism against social turbulence.
This is akin to planting a tree before the flood arrives.
Initially, it may be nothing more than an inconspicuous sapling that few notice. But if planted early, giving it sufficient time to grow slowly and root deeply, when the flood truly strikes, it may have grown into a sufficiently sturdy tree, allowing some people to grasp it when they need it.
Of course, the best scenario might be not developing this project at all. After all, as long as this tree is never planted, when the flood truly arrives, natural humans will never know they once had the opportunity to grasp a tree for shelter from wind and rain.
Since they never knew such an opportunity existed, naturally they will feel no regret over losing it. Thus, not only is the trouble of tree-planting saved, but people are spared the regret of losing the tree. As for what to do when the flood comes, that is another problem entirely.
This Is a Huge Sum of Money
However, the funding required for the Natural Human Perception Project remains a non-trivial amount in contemporary society.
During the author's initial phase, three books require approximately $16,000 to $22,000 USD (approx. NT$520,000 to NT$720,000), with an estimated writing commitment of about one year.
Additionally, the minimum budget for 12 touring lectures is approximately $1,500 USD (approx. NT$50,000); if expanded to 130 lectures, the budget would be around $16,000 USD (approx. NT$520,000). Calculating at an average of 25 attendees per session, 130 lectures could reach roughly 3,250 people.
Through this, natural human perception skills stand a chance to gradually form a multi-layered dissemination network via lectures, philosophy sharing, practical application, and subsequent teaching. The figures above are hypothetical estimates used for planning; actual outcomes must still be verified based on participant feedback, application contexts, and subsequent dissemination results.
Of course, with more funds, we could compile multiple perception textbooks, produce public courses, cultivate local promoters, and spread numerous perception lectures worldwide. If we can step-by-step establish a mutually supportive system of textbooks, teaching staff, and practical instruction, this project has the opportunity to transcend the author's personal creation and promotion, evolving into a sustainably operating knowledge dissemination network.
Perception Is Crucial, Yet I Am Merely a Tiny Hope
I estimate that in a few years, the importance of "how to feel" will grow increasingly prominent.
Yet I am like the flame on an incense coil, offering only a very slim probability of bringing some contribution to this era.
Actually, I simply feel it would be quite a pity if completing these books and spreading these perception skills were shelved right here. Therefore, I am willing to give myself a few months, at most half a year, trying to find early sponsors, occasionally writing grant proposals, and occasionally sending messages outward to ask if anyone is willing to invite me to lecture or invest in books.
If absolutely no one pays attention, I should return to the workforce, pouring the time and energy originally meant for writing books and lecturing into employment.
Thinking about it, though, it is quite amusing. In Taiwan, completing one or two books on *Natural Human Perception Skills* roughly equals society hiring an employee at minimum wage for one year. Yet I feel this is a huge sum of money to society—after all, up to this point, this is an uncredentialed, unknown creator doing something that appears entirely useless.
Furthermore, political parties, religious groups, or various corporate institutions surely have more important matters demanding resource investment, such as holding a few more campaign rallies, hanging more billboard advertisements, or organizing more blessing rituals.
Of course, I am just an ordinary person. If someone pays me to do something, as long as it's safe and not too troublesome, I'll try lecturing and writing books. If no one comes calling and the time is up, I will return to the workforce and abandon the promotion of the entire series.
If more and more people seek me out in the future while my time remains limited, I will gradually raise my fees according to demand. By then, perhaps more people will recognize the need for perception and the potential returns within it, joining in to create new perception doctrines, applying them to different scenarios, teaching their own students and instructors, and gradually infiltrating various corners of society with a perception-centered mindset.
Of course, I lack the capacity to prevent teachers who copy or borrow my curriculum, sell it at high prices, and open their own classes elsewhere. Yet, come to think of it, that is also a disguised form of dissemination, allowing the framework and thoughts of perception to diffuse.
By that time, I may not necessarily wish to continue expanding the enterprise. If funds are sufficient, I might crave a peaceful life even more, choosing to live in seclusion, write and publish books, occasionally accept a few lectures, and engage in perception exchanges with a tiny handful of people. I am not particularly fond of interacting with investors or students, nor do I enjoy public attention.
Conversely, if past 2031 there are still no results at all, perhaps my ideas and perception skills are indeed unnecessary. But when society truly needs them, I estimate it might already be too late. By then, the momentum will likely have progressed to that point, and the golden window will have passed.
Nor do I believe this is something only I can do. Once the perception zeitgeist emerges, a multitude of doctrines studying perception may surge in a short time. Perception is not mysterious, and related doctrines are not hard to establish. Even without me, this field will not necessarily vanish because of it. Who knows, perhaps just by looking at my bibliography, someone else could develop similar ideas.
However, time is the key. Certain moments are golden moments; much like military strategy, being off by a few months or days entirely obliterates battlefield advantage. Meanwhile, many works may fail to develop and mature promptly through practice, resulting in a dilemma where society desperately needs them only to find itself unable to keep up.
I have disseminated these concepts in the past, but I felt that people didn't seem to need these perception ideas. Even if truly accepted, they might merely be treated as entertainment. In actual teaching, I didn't believe these lessons could produce profoundly massive impacts on those people's lives.
Although my intuition tells me that as long as natural human perception skills become widely known and their power is genuinely felt, they could become an unshakeable force difficult to ignore in the future, I don't really think that day will actually arrive. Perhaps the probability of this happening is merely 0.05%?
Nevertheless, within these next few months, I still wish to invite prospective early investors to give it a try, listen to my perspective, and attempt to provide a tiny glimmer of hope using the equivalent of one year's minimum wage salary.
This Investment Might Be a Bit Different
Since current creation remains in its early stages, the required funding is relatively limited. Compared to many businesses requiring heavy equipment, large workforces, and long-term operating costs, supporting the writing, publication, and initial dissemination of these books perhaps requires only relatively low-cost capital.
For early investors, this may be a low-cost investment with a chance to yield rich returns. Unfortunately, your investment may not necessarily bring financial returns, nor are you funding a Fortune 500 company; rather, you are injecting capital to fight for a tiny opportunity for natural humans in a specific region during an extraordinary period—granting them a chance to acquire a powerful auxiliary tool: perception skills—and apply it to their lives during the turbulence period, enriching their life experiences.
I estimate a 5% probability that these books will influence several subsequent authors. Whether they borrow, expand, or directly plagiarize, they may to some extent prompt the gradual development of different ways of feeling.
When the perception wave genuinely surges, perhaps someone will begin collecting and referencing these early works. Or perhaps a certain region, thanks to these books and lectures, will establish early on a portion of perception skills capable of coping with changing times, thereby becoming more resilient in enriching their lives during the turbulence.
And these authors and readers may faintly realize that without your early sponsorship—delayed merely by a matter of months—these works might never have successfully seen the light of day.
Additionally, I estimate a 0.05% probability that my works will become a minor catalyst in a major historical turning point, and you happen to be one of the earliest sponsors. Years later, your name might remain etched in that history. You might become the person who gently nudged the wheel of history at its critical turning point.
As long as this set of skills can persist and become known to more people, I believe it stands a chance during this special period to provide natural humans with some assistance and choices, enabling them to supplement their lives through these skills. By that time, the ripple effect of your sponsorship will continue to propagate into the future along with the lives and thoughts of these individuals.
