Perception Lectures & Courses
How we feel, shapes every single minute of our lives.
How we feel, influences our travel, work, relationships, religious beliefs, and all kinds of big and small matters in daily life.
How we feel, may offer a fresh perspective to view ourselves and the world anew.
How we feel, can bring us closer to our inner selves and allow us to experience the world with greater detail.
How we feel, is much like a muscle—it can be enriched through practice.
How we feel, through practice, gives us the opportunity to shift away from passive, habitual ways of perceiving toward consciously choosing how we experience things.
How we feel, involves simple yet practical techniques that can be applied to daily life in just a few minutes.
How we feel, could be an essential capability in the future AI era—one of the potential anchors to stabilize our inner world amid drastic shifts in values and environments.
And all of this may simply begin with a single talk.
Knowing how to feel can spark a breakthrough in your life.
The speaker does not intend to tell you how you should live,
nor will they attempt to provide you with standard answers.
There is no spiritual awakening, no chicken soup for the soul.
No financial freedom, and no magical scientific guarantees.
It is merely a gentle reminder through conversation:
Your body has always been carrying a key within you.
Someday in the future, when you recall it,
you can try to pick it up,
to open a door for yourself to an unknown world of perception.
Through lectures, short courses, and long-term training, participants are guided from recognizing perception to progressively learning perceptual skills, and attempting to apply these methods in everyday life.

Customized Case Studies
Practicing how to spot easily overlooked details in everyday surroundings through perception instruction, regional observation, and live sketching.
Perception Teaching, Community Art Tour & Sketching
This program merges perception education, art tours, and sketching. Sin Bay first conducts a 30-minute perception session introducing simple, practical skills for everyday life, followed by an art instructor guiding participants through a community art tour and live sketching session.
Through on-site observation and artistic creation, participants utilize their newly acquired perceptual skills to rediscover their environment—noticing overlooked details in community streets, architecture, plants, and natural scenery, and translating observations into creative sketches.
This goes beyond a mere painting workshop or local tour; it invites participants to actively practice perceptual techniques during observation and creation, exploring their connection to the community and uncovering overlooked daily nuances.
Practical Execution Experience
Approximately 11 similar activities have been successfully organized, primarily formatted as lectures paired with artistic creation experiences, with some multi-session courses spanning 1 to 3 meetings. Participants are mostly seniors aged 65 and above with no prior painting background, averaging 15 to 25 people per session lasting 1.5 to 3 hours.
The lectures focus heavily on seniors, using the core concept of "treating perception as a form of exercise" to introduce manageable skills step by step.
Formats adapt to participant needs: most sessions pair indoor art creation with local imagery and perception tutorials, while select sessions combine outdoor plein-air sketching with perception guidance to encourage direct environmental observation.
These experiences have accumulated robust practical know-how in tailoring formats for diverse demographics and integrating perception education with art creation. Future events can build on this foundation to combine perception tutorials, community art tours, and sketching.

Combining walking, sketching, and guided painting to practice focusing on the feeling of happiness and translating it into artwork.
An Afternoon Walking with "Happiness"
Temporarily step away from daily hustle in an urban green space and enjoy an afternoon accompanied by happiness.
Requiring no prior painting experience, participants walk, observe, and paint under the guidance of an art teacher with nearly 30 years of teaching experience, bringing their attention back to the immediate environment. Concurrently, the perception guide introduces simple perceptual techniques at appropriate moments, helping attendees experience art creation while learning how to integrate perception into daily life.
Participants then sit down in the green space to explore what happiness looks like to them through guided painting, learning how to focus on happiness and translate inner feelings into colors and lines to complete a personal "Painting of Happiness."
From walking and observing to painting, participants rediscover neglected details and learn to anchor their attention on the experience of happiness for daily life application.
Phase I | Green Space Walk × Walking & Sketching
The art teacher leads participants into the green space for a casual walk and simple sketching exercises, gently steering attention back to the surrounding environment.
Amidst walking and sketching, participants re-observe leaves, flowers, and light patterns, uncovering details usually passed by unnoticed.
The perception guide chimes in at opportune moments to introduce perceptual techniques, enabling participants to apply these methods during active observation for a richer environmental connection.
Phase II | Sitting Down × Guided Painting
Following the walk, participants sit down in a greenery-filled setting for guided painting led by the art teacher to explore their personal visualization of happiness.
Without needing drawing techniques or fixed standards, participants follow their inner feelings to turn happiness into colors and lines, creating a unique "Painting of Happiness."
During creation, the perception guide explains how to "focus on experiencing happiness," directing attention toward positive sensations and expressing them artistically to explore what happiness truly means to them.
Other Walking Moments | Perception Practice
Perception exercises extend beyond formal instruction times, blending fluidly into walking and observation.
Participants learn several simple, practical perception skills and practice them at appropriate times. Through brief moments of execution, they gradually learn to notice environmental details and their reactions to them.
After the activity, these skills extend seamlessly into everyday routines, enabling participants to bring awareness back to the present moment during walks, rests, or quiet interludes.
Practical Execution Experience
Conducted in large public parks using a dual-facilitator model where an art instructor handles walking sketches and guided painting, while a perception guide introduces core perception techniques at optimal times during the process.
Activities start with park strolls and live sketching for environmental immersion, followed by shaded creation under trees where the art teacher directs art-making and the perception guide teaches techniques on focusing on happiness.
Characterized by "walking, creating, and practicing perception simultaneously," this structure blends artistic exploration and practical mindfulness into a cohesive journey, ensuring participants finish with both a completed artwork and usable life skills.
